Career Path
Tennis taught me a lot: how to deal with pressure, setting goals, how to deal with failure, energy management and setting priorities. As a coach and trainer, I enlighten those skills.
Single
I started my professional career in 1991 till 2000. My best achievements on the WTA tour were : 2x 1/4 final at the Australian Open and 2x 1/4 final at the Masters (Best 16 players of the year).

I won in total 4 WTA tournaments and reached 12x the finals. I won against most of the Top 10 players of my generation like Martina Hingis or Venus and Serena Williams.

During 10 years, I represented Belgium for the Fed Cup. 1998 was my best year on the tour: I reached the Top 10 on the WTA ranking as number 9 in the world and became the first Belgian tennis player to achieve it. Thanks to this amazing result, I was elected the best women sports athlete and sports personality.
Double
Even if I was a more single player, I had great results on the WTA tour in double as well.
My best ranking was 21 and I won in total 4 WTA tournaments. With Els Callens, we won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, played 1/2 final at the US Open and we finished the year in the last 4 best teams of the year.
Career Achievements
Since 2004, I have been working as a coach and trainer. First, I started to work at Mentally Fit Institute until 2015 and during this period, I was teaching as trainer at Ichec Business school in Belgium and Luxembourg, at Vlerick Business school and Solvay Business school.
My subject were coaching & management and energy management. I wrote my first book « A matter of character » in 2008 and it was a success. Since 2017, I am working with BetterMinds@Work and BetterMinds Coaching as executive career coach and trainer. Since 2018, I am giving a training at the Radboud University about energy management.
Sport World Achievements
Until now, I have always been involved as a board member for different sport institutions : the player council (it represents TOP 20 players at the WTA), Athlete committee, la Ligue HandiSport francophone, Technical Sport Commission and BOIC.
I was director of 2 prestigious tournaments in Belgium « Ethias Trophy » (ATP) and Brussels Open (WTA).

Since 2008, I am working with professional and Paralympic athletes as a mental coach. I have been during 2 years FEDCup captain and brought Belgium back in the world ranking.

Today, I represent the selection committee for the Paralympic Games. I am still involved in tennis as a commentator for Voosport World.

Last but not least, I am a jury member of the « Trophée du mérite sportif national » and « Trophée Victor Bouin ».
